Get Ready to collect the rain with a Dam Construction or Water Tank Installation Perth-Wandering-North Bannister

Before the rain comes, either clean out your existing Dam or construct a New Dam.

If you do not have a Dam or an area where you can construct one then install a water tank.

For a new dam construction most councils require approval before construction can begin, if you are cleaning it out and not extending it then you able to do this without a permit, but check with your local councils, as most have different requirements.

As for your water tank they come in various sizes, made of steel or plastic. Sand Pads are required for the water tank, tanks must be installed on a level pad site, once installed the water tank is fill with an amount of water specified for your tank and acts as an anchor weight to prevent movement in high winds or stormy area, Then an amount of aggregate is placed around the water tank to prevent erosion.

Bruce at Dobson Excavations can assist with all your excavation and earthmoving requirements for either a Dam or Water Tank Installation on 0414 755306.

Leach Drain Supply and Install Perth-Boddington-Bannister-Harvey-Lake Clifton

Leach Drain Supply and Install Perth-Boddington- Bannister-Harvey-Lake Clifton

What is a Leach Drain? It is a Tube like structure which is either made of concrete or plastic which has holes in the sides and buried in the ground. Pre treated effluent flows by gravity or pumped to a leach field for disposal. Waste water is absorbed by soil particles and moves both  Horizontally and Vertically through soil pore.

Difference between Plastic and Concrete.

Concrete leach drains come in precast modular of mostly 1.2 metre lengths standard or traffic, standard is usually for back yards where there is no vehicles or heavy items travelling over them, traffic leach drains are used where vehicles will drive over them. Concrete leach drains can last up to 30-40 years or longer depending on the PH level balance in the soil, maintence and the pumping. Even though they might be a bit more expensive they are value for money in the long run, will not spilt or collapse.

Plastic leach drains are a cheaper alternative but will not last as long as concrete leach drains, more chances of splitting or collapsing if they are not installed correctly, different suppliers have variety of quality plastic leach drains, they come in kit forms to assemble in cube like form, you can purchase trafficable leach drains for under driveways.

Clay becomes hard and if upgrading or maintence is required, then to dig it up will be hard digging which could cause damage to cables.

All work for electrical Trenches needs to be professional dug and laid so no future problems will arise in the future and a depth of 600mm is required for the trench.…
